【健康醫療網／記者吳儀文報導】北美洲在當地時間4月8日迎來日全食奇景，從墨西哥開始，一路到美國14州及加拿大都可用肉眼觀看日全食，錯過將再等20年，也讓當地居民陷入日全食熱潮。不過在觀看日全食的同時，許多人也相當擔心自己的眼睛會因此受到傷害。

直視太陽常見3眼睛傷害　有「這些」症狀應就醫

《NBC新聞》報導指出，美國在4月8日下午經歷過日全食後，Google搜尋有關「眼睛受傷」的數量激增，從此可看出民眾相當擔憂會因為觀賞太久而導致眼睛受傷。

在沒有任何防護裝備的情況下，直視太陽確實有可能會造成眼睛受傷。佛羅里達一家兒童健康中心的眼科醫生丹尼爾·拉廷（Dr. Daniel Lattin）提到，民眾若直視太陽，眼睛可能會有點灼傷，或是造成所謂的「日光性角膜炎」，導致眼睛發紅、溢淚等症狀，不過症狀會在一兩天內自行緩解，不會造成永久性損害。

比較值得注意的眼睛傷害可能是「日光性視網膜病變」，丹尼爾·拉廷醫師表示，日光性視網膜病變無法治療，但有些患者的眼睛會隨著時間的推移而康復。

代頓兒童醫院眼科主任哈里哈倫（Dr. Luxme Hariharan）則指出，「日光性視網膜病變」的症狀通常會在24小時內出現，症狀與疼痛無關，如果出現盲點、波浪線、飛蚊症、視力模糊等症狀，可能是這次日食後的日光視網膜病變，需要立即就醫。

眼睛直視2秒就可能受傷　只戴太陽眼睛保護不夠

不過，日食後造成眼睛長期損害的情況並不算太常見，根據美國天文學會（AAS）報告顯示，2017年日全食後，只有約 100 名患者報告出現「與日食相關的視網膜病變」。

但專家們仍提醒應保護好自己的雙眼，哈里哈倫主任提到，若不使用眼鏡，直視太陽，在沒有保護的情況下觀看可能只需要一到兩秒眼睛就會受損。

美國天文學會（AAS）也在日前發布聲明提醒民眾，市面上有幾款不安全的日食眼鏡，使用這些產品觀察日食可能會導致眼睛傷害，可讓人安全、舒適觀看太陽的濾鏡通常會傳導0.001－0.00005%的可見光，會比最暗的普通太陽眼鏡顏色暗上1000倍。

因此，民眾千萬別用肉眼直視日全食，也不能只戴一般的太陽眼鏡觀看日食天文奇景，應使用特殊的觀日專用眼鏡，避免眼睛受到損傷。
