中台灣區域治理平台12日在嘉義市舉行首長會議，包括台中市長盧秀燕、嘉義市長黃敏惠、南投縣長許淑華、苗栗縣長鍾東錦、雲林縣長張麗善、新竹縣長楊文科、新竹市代理市長邱臣遠、彰化縣副縣長周傑等8縣市首長皆齊聚一堂；盧秀燕表示，中台灣區域治理平台以「互相學習、彼此支援」為核心精神，8縣市持續攜手合作、互相支援，持續精進。此番致詞也讓盧秀燕再現「最強母雞」姿態。
「中台灣區域治理平台」、「女性縣市長聯盟」皆為盧秀燕號召發起，讓區域整合不限於西半部，而跨越東部與北部地區的花蓮縣、台東縣、宜蘭縣；若加上「藍營直轄市四都平台」台北市、新北市、桃園市，盧秀燕等於擁有整合14縣市能力。
原先外傳，鄭麗文當選國民黨主席後，恐影響盧秀燕布局，加上鄭麗文當選後，屢次發言都讓藍營「捏把冷汗」，轉而將怨氣投射在當初不願參選的盧秀燕；但藍營不具名人士表示，當初鄭麗文宣布要參選黨主席前，有和盧秀燕「打過招呼」，獲盧首肯才投入選舉，且日前鄭麗文赴台中市出席黨慶活動，與盧同框、2人都稱彼此為好姐妹，在台上擁抱，也破解心結傳言。
此外，加上鄭麗文日前到台中清水與黨員鄉親座談時表示，過去7年多，在盧秀燕領導下，台中市政欣欣向榮，更稱家要有優秀女性，就是「安」字，女人當家給台灣安全，給社會安定，這才是台灣的精神，被外界認為在幫盧秀燕2028鋪路。
盧秀燕原先受非洲豬瘟、國民黨主席選舉等事件影響聲勢，但近日她提及總統大選，喊出「第4次政黨輪替」，以及舉辦中台灣治理平台會議，都讓她聲量再起。
另外，盧秀燕與多位藍營首長將於2026年卸任，包括新北市長侯友宜、雲林縣長張麗善、嘉義市長黃敏惠、彰化縣長王惠美、台東縣長饒慶鈴等，皆為形象優質、施政獲讚的政壇強將。這些要角卸任之後的下一步，以及由盧秀燕掌舵的大平台，是否成為影響2026戰局關鍵，甚至是邁向2028的「影子內閣」引發各界關注。
