台中市太平區祥順路一段1家印刷廠，今（21）日晚間7時16分許，傳出電梯奪命意外。太平警分局表示，晚間獲報有員工，從印刷廠3樓墜落電梯底部而且傷勢嚴重，消防人員到場時，45歲李姓男員工已無生命跡象，送往中國醫藥大學搶救仍宣告不治。初步調查，意外沒有外力介入，已通報相關單位深入釐清。
據了解，李姓員工今晚上班時間，從1樓搭電梯至3樓辦公室，但電梯抵達3樓時，他準備踏出電梯，電梯卻不知何故繼續往上升，電梯門也沒關，李男因高低差不穩往後跌倒，竟重摔至約10公尺深電梯井底部，當場失去意識。台中市消防局救護人員獲報到場，初步檢視李男全身多處外傷、手臂開放性骨折。
